Go therefore
As you know, Jesus commissioned us to go into the world and share the good news that Jesus is God and He has come into the world to save sinners and bring them into His kingdom. He said in Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Our fellowship is committed to obey Jesus in all things and certainly his last command. There is no other option.
“Making disciples of all the nations” requires churches to be planted in every people group so that the good news about life with Jesus can be clearly seen and a reasonable choice can be made to follow Christ. Unfortunately, 41 percent of the world’s population does not have access to see the gospel within their indigenous body of believers. Most of the people groups in this category are very difficult to reach due to much opposition and the other groups that are much easier to engage, have been.
So, we call these people groups “unreached”. We believe our mandate from God is to emphasize, within our global efforts, to make disciples of the unreached. Within the global church, less than 10% of missionaries are deployed to these groups and less than 1% of mission dollars are spent on them. We desire that this NOT be true of Calvary Oxnard. We want to do our part, so therefore, we are going to focus our efforts on the Unreached People Groups of the nations.

Local Outreach OPPORTUNITY
Pastor Bob Augustine
We also have an interesting missions opportunity right here, close to home. We are serving and sharing with Naval Base Ventura County in a similar manner as overseas missionaries. We are crossing a guarded border and entering a slightly different culture to bring a church fellowship to Pt. Mugu. As we volunteer for the Chaplains of the base, we get to help them conduct church services. Our missionary Pastor Bob Augustine leads the team.
