Membership at calvary oxnard

Membership at Calvary Chapel is very important to our effective functioning as a church body, but it also a very simple process, so many of our regular, long time attenders have yet to take this step. If you have yet to become a member, please give it some prayer!

CCO members play an important role:
• Official church members have the responsibility of ratifying our new elders as they are needed and nominated, which in turn makes a huge impact on the spiritual leadership at CCO.
• Members also approval or reject any significant monetary indebtedness that CCO will consider from time to time, such as the purchase of our new sanctuary building a few years ago.

But even more importantly, membership is about ownership and maturity. It is acknowledging the Christian's responsibility to be an active part of a local church body. Many Christians know the importance of regular church attendance, but spiritual growth and maturity comes as we contribute our time, energy, and resources to our church body. "Official" membership encourages the believer to take their role in the Body of Christ earnestly and diligently.

• You must believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• You must agree with the doctrinal, mission, vision, and motto statements of CCO
• You must be over 18 years of age
• You must have the desire to become a member at CCO

If you meet these requirements, the next step is easy! Simply sign up for membership, and a pastor or elder will contact you to verify this is your desire, and to welcome you as an "official" member of our church.
