CCO Social Media ministry

The Vision
Reaching people online by sharing event happenings, ministry opportunities and spiritual encouragement. Allowing people in our community to feel invited before they ever step through the doors of CCO.
Social media is one of the biggest ways people experience church before they ever visit to see what CCO is all about. It’s where someone decides, “Maybe I’ll check this place out.” We believe it should reflect the heart of who we are—real people, real moments, and the life change happening here every week. This team will help tell the story of what God is doing at CCO on Sundays and throughout the week.

Vibe / Mood
Your part, whichever role you decide to serve in, is integral in helping the viewer become empowered in their Christian walk through teaching snippets, by encouraging them spiritually with scripture verses, and showing them the ways they can get connected within the CCO body for fellowship, discipleship and ministry.
Weekly Workflow
- Content capture and live posting during Sunday and Wednesday services. This could include sermon clips or key moments, brief interviews with volunteers that are serving at the time, or even congregants to get their feedback to know why they love coming to CCO.
- During the first of the week, the content editor would have access to a shared content folder to create reels or highlight clips, while the caption/post writer designs encouragement posts with scripture and music.
- As the content is finalized, the scheduler will upload to Later Social, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The scheduling will be done so that each day there is a new post of some kind. This helps with keeping a constant online presences.
- While our Sunday and Wednesday services are being streamed, the engagement person would chat and comment with the online viewer. There also might be times during the week that an online message would need to be responded to. We want to be there within 24 hours for anyone reaching out to assist them with whatever they need.
- Assignments will be sent through "Services" in Planning Center, giving you the opportunity to accept or decline based on your availability. You will be contacted via email with your assignment.
Commitment
- You don’t have to be an expert. We’ll train you and build it together. Serve at your convenience. If you’re interested, come meet us down at the front of the stage after service or call or email us. We’d love to connect, answer your questions, and get you plugged in. Let’s build something meaningful together. In the end, being on the Social Media Team will always be a ministry and a service onto our Lord and those who call Him Savior.
