WOrship team expectations
Disciple of Jesus. Not just a believer, but a follower of Jesus.
This means leading yourself in spiritual growth through fellowship, prayer, and Bible reading.
No one is perfect but we should be headed in the right direction, towards Jesus and away from sin.
"Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."
2 Timothy 2:21-22
Faithful Servant, making others' lives better.
We serve God and others in everything we do by being faithful servants.
Invest in the gift that God has given you. This means practicing and improving.
Servants work well with others.
The church is God's house, if you see something that needs to be done do it!
“For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability.
Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more....."
Matthew 25:15–16
"......His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Matthew 25:20–21

Come to rehearsals having practiced and learned the songs and your vocal or instrumental parts.
Show up to service regularly (2-3 times a month) when you aren't on the team.
Communicate changes ASAP. We understand life happens and sometimes you need to cancel. If so inform the worship leader ASAP.
Be accurate in pitch, intonation, and rhythm.
Authentically engage in worship with the music, church, and band.
Learn to use Planning Center, In-ear monitors, keyboards, etc. Being on the worship team means knowing how to use technology. (if you don't know, ask!)
Work on memorizing music/lyrics so you aren't staring at a music stand.
Keep stage/church clean and organized.
Thank you for serving God and His Church!
